Welcome to the November edition of the SPS e-newsletter. Before you get to this month's articles can I alert you to two new dates for your diary? The AGM is confirmed for January and I'm also pleased to announce our first Christmas networking event. The SPS trustees will look forward to raising a festive glass or two with as many members as possible at the Chopper Lump Wine bar at 7pm on 6 December. More details in the events section below. SPS Christmas networking event

Join the SPS trustees and other strategists at a popular central London wine bar for a pre-Christmas drink and a chat. We'll be meeting on 6 December from 7pm. Look out for copies of the latest issue of Strategy Magazine on our table, if the learned conversation and serious demeanour doesn't sufficiently identify us! To read a review of the venue and find a map, please visit this review page.

Ashridge Open Programmes

The SPS and Ashridge have teamed up to offer SPS members some exclusive benefits, the first of which is a 10% discount on any of Ashridge's open strategy programmes.

Ashridge has a wide variety of short, residential programmes to help individuals and organisations to achieve their development needs. These programmes focus on blending the practical experience of their faculty with leading-edge business thinking, to inspire and challenge you.

In addition, learning in small classes – typically 12–30 participants – promotes collaboration on your own issues and ensures individual support, enabling all participants to return, better able to transfer learning to the workplace.

For more details, visit Ashridge. Please quote your SPS membership number when booking.
