High-performance business strategy
Although most business leaders recognise the importance of the people factor, only a few have been successful in effectively using HR to inspire success and achieve a high-performance business strategy.

In issue 12 of Strategy Magazine, Ap Eigenhuis and Rob van Dijk explored the meaning of high performance and how it can be achieved. They demonstrate that having a focused and clearly communicated HR strategy is essential for organisations faced with responding to the rapid change occurring in all sectors of public and corporate life.
  • Special book offer: SPS members can take advantage of a 20% discount off the cover price of High-Performance Business Strategy (2007) by Ap Eigenhuis and Rob van Dijk. Visit the Kogan Page website and enter discount code MF281 at the check-out for 20% off the £35 cover price (p+p not included).

In issue 12 of Strategy Magazine Michael Akerib and Thomas Roth argued that taking the three Cs of sensemaking (culture, context and change) into consideration can help managers make successful decisions in different cultural environments.
